Scheduled 2015 dates:
Tue 15th December
11am – 5pm (5 hours + lunch break)
Class size 8 max.
Explore two wonderful methods of printmaking to create designs on paper or fabric, then learn how to craft them into a beautiful lampshade.
- Using found objects and texture we will print with Gelli plates to make delicate prints. You can ink up these rubbery plates, press down leaves or textured objects and take both silhouette prints and detailed impressions.
- We’ll make simple relief blocks by drawing and cutting into craft foam and printing designs to complement the gelli prints, or creating repeat patterns.
Then it will be time to choose from our prints and craft them into a lampshade using metal rings and a special heat resistant backing paper.
All materials are included.
