Produce spontaneous and creative collages using a wide range of recycled paper materials. Explore numerous techniques, materials and gain new skills as a collage artist.
This workshop is based on Utopia, you will be creating art work that represents your idea of paradise, bliss, perfection or dreamland. Collaging is one of the most expressive and free forms of art and design, so don’t be afraid to let your imagination run wild.
The day will begin with a short introduction to twentieth century collage and how it has progressed up to today, followed by a group activity filled with cutting and pasting to get your creative juices flowing. We will then move on to developing and producing individual art works. By the end of the day you will have a unique collage to take home and newly gained confidence to producing more works on your own.
Workshop includes:
· Introduction to collage art
· Producing a group collage
· Planning and preparing materials
· Creating a personal collage based on Utopia
